Age Range: all ages

Parking: lot just off Gibb St, East of Centre

Ground Cover: cement

Main Equipment:

Accessibility Features: wheelchair accessible cement splash pad 

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:

Seating: 2 park benches surrounding splash pad

Shade: none on the splash pad, some in the surrounding trees


Overall assessment: great small Splash Pad to cool off in after playing at the local playgrounds

Installed:  June 2014

Age Range: all ages

Parking: small parking lot off of Harbour Front Crescent

Ground Cover: cement 

Main Equipment: 
  • 3 bucket dump post
  • 1 spray arch tunnel
  • 1 spray post
  • 1 spray lily pad
  • 2 water blasters
  • multiple in ground water jets

Accessibility Features: wheel chair accessible splash pad area (small grass access from the sidewalk)

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • see Beaverton Harbour Park post

Seating: 8 picnic tables, 4 park benches

Shade: no shade over the splash pad, but the surrounding trees offer plenty of other shady spots to get out of the sun

Overall assessment: A great brand new splash pad for Beaverton!  A safe, fun way for the little kids to cool off right beside the lake.  There are a lot of neat features at this splash pad including the pivoting red water blasters that increase and decrease in distance as they spin, to the lily pad closer to the ground for toddlers at play.

Age Range: all ages

Parking:  parking lot on East Beach Road in front of the park

Ground Cover: recycled rubber and concrete

Main Equipment: 
  • 5 bucket dump post + 1 other bucket dump post
  • whale water arch
  • 2 water blasters
  • 2 spray posts
  • 1 water tube

Accessibility Features: wheel chair accessible

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • see East Beach Park post 

Seating: 2 park benches and 2 picnic tables around the splash pad itself, pavilion with additional park benches between the splash pad and playground and multiple benches throughout the surrounding park

Shade: no shade over the Splash Pad, shade from some trees and adjacent pavilion with a few park benches

Overall assessment:  Pack enough for a day out as kids will definitely be entertained for hours at this park!   With a great lakeside view and location alongside the paved waterfront trail, including a playground, there is plenty to do.  If you forget your picnic lunch don't fret as there is also a restaurant nearby (Bobby C's Marina Restaurant).

Bowmanville Memorial Park Splash Pad

Shade: no shade over the Splash Pad, shade from some trees and a large picnic structure to provide shade right next to the Splash Pad

Overall assessment:  Just enough water features to cool off on a hot summer day.  And great location right next to a picnic shelter and adjacent playground!

Seating: 2 park benches and a long rock wall around the Splash Pad to sit on

Shade: no shade over the Splash Pad, shade from some trees over some benches and grass

Overall assessment:  This is a fun splash pad to run around and wash all of the sand off the kids after playing at the adjacent playgrounds!

Shade: some umbrella shade over the Splash Pad itself and a pergola provides shade over 2 park benches; there is also some shade from the surrounding trees


Overall assessment:  A great addition to Brooklin!  With the adjacent playgrounds it makes for hours of entertainment on a hot day with kids of all ages!

Seating: 8 benches and many large rocks around the park to sit on

Shade: no shade over the Splash Pad, pavilion offers shade over 4 park benches, some small trees provide a bit of shade too

Overall assessment:  This is a small splash pad but still great to cool off in with the kids after climbing around the playground structures!

Overall assessment:  This is a great park for all ages and very colorful. The splash pad area is a great place for kids big and small to run through as they get wet.

Seating: none

Shade: none, limited shade in the surround trees

Overall assessment: This is a great park for a few families to go together or a few adults to help with kids who may want to stay at the Splash Pad area since it is a distance from the playground.
