Hours of Operation:  10am - 8pm (seasonal late Spring to Labour Day weekend)

Age Range: all ages

Parking: parking lot located on Cartier Ave just in front of the park

Ground Cover: cement

Main Equipment: 
  • 1 spray post

Accessibility Features: wheel chair accessible pad over grass

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • see Glen Stewart Park post

Seating: 2 park benches

Shade: none over the Splash Pad but plenty of shade in the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: A great quiet park and small Splash Pad just big enough to cool off in.

Willow Park Splash Pad

Hours of Operation:   from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and operate from June to September, weather permitting (seasonal)

Age Range: all ages

Parking: parking lot off of Canadian Oaks Drive and larger parking lot for sports fields off of Willow Park Drive and Hazelwood Drive

Ground Cover: cement

Main Equipment: 
  • 1 spray tower
  • 1 spray post
  • 1 water blaster
  • multiple in ground water jets

Accessibility Features: wheelchair accessible

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:

  • washrooms (first week of May to first week of October: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)


Seating: 3 park benches facing the Splash Pad area, with up to 12 park benches in the surrounding park area

Shade: no shade over or near the Splash Pad, little shade provided in the park area by a few surrounding trees

Overall assessment: This Splash Pad comes with it's very own pirate!  It continues a pirate ship theme from the adjacent Willow Park playground.

Darren Park Splash Pad

Parking: parking lot off of Darren Ave

Ground Cover:  cement

Main Equipment:

  • 1 fountain post
  • spray posts
  • "creek bed" drainage

Accessibility Features: wheel chair accessible 

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:

Seating: no seating right at the Splash Pad, but multiple park benches throughout the playground and surrounding park

Shade: no shade on the Splash Pad, surrounding area trees provide some shade in the outer fields

Overall assessment: Toddlers love this splash pad because it has a river that fills up whenever the buttons activate the splash pad features! It has a few different styles of water sprays to explore that come on at different times so is neat for kids to bounce from one feature to the next.

Shade: very little shade on the Splash Pad, plenty of shade in the surrounding park area from the many trees

Overall assessment: ​Just enough to cool off a bit

Parking:  large parking lot off of Trent Street for the playground and splash pad, and parking lot off of Burns Street for the sports fields

Main Equipment:

  • 1 dumping bucket
  • multiple water features
  • multiple in ground water jets

Accessibility Features: wheel chair accessible splash pad and washrooms

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • see Peel Park post
  • Washrooms (hours 9:00am to 9:00pm first week of May to first week of October)

Seating: 2 park benches at the splash pad, two picnic tables with checkers/chess boards and multiple park benches around the adjacent playground and surrounding park

Shade: none on the splash pad, but some offered from the surrounding trees in the park

Overall assessment: With multiple water elements, there is something for everyone to cool of in at this splash pad!

Seating: 2 park benches with multiple park benches surrounding the adjacent playground

Shade: Shade provided by a large tree adjacent to the park and some shade among the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: Just enough to cool off in on a hot day.
