  • 2 tall spray trees
  • 1 tall spray post
  • multiple in ground spray jets
  • run off 'creek'

Accessibility Features: wheelchair accessible (except for the creek)

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • Jeffery Park
  • seasonal portable washroom
  • basketball court
  • soccer pitch
  • field

Seating: 3 two person picnic tables under the shade sail beside the splash pad, 4 benches around the playground, very long concrete bench surrounding one corner of the playground space by the accessible swings

Shade: shade sail over the splash pad picnic tables

Overall assessment: We certainly love splash pads with interactive elements, and finding two manual spinning water spout elements here was a neat surprise! The tall spray trees have a very cool effect as the branches and leaves cause the water to spread widely and mist all around them. However, the highlight for us was the runoff creek just around the corner by the back of the splash pad. It is filled with the runoff from the splash pad and has a large river rock bed. With the seasonal washroom and ship themed playground you can spend all day at this splash pad and park!

Overall assessment: This is one of the best splash pads we have been to in Durham Region! It is so unique with the animal theme and spray jets! Also the random movements and power of the in ground spray jets and fountains themselves brings excitement and anticipation to the kids at play because you never know which ones will shoot out next, or if the fountains will be small or large! A couple of the smaller spray critters weren't operating when we were visiting, but that didn't impact the fun at all because there are soooo many other ways to enjoy the water! We will definitely make a day trip back to Uxbridge for this splash pad again! There are two sensor activation posts, but we couldn't tell which post activated which water features because the other kids were constantly ensuring they were always activated hahaha. There are no outdoor washrooms, but we imagine you could use the rec centre facilities if needed.
