Installed: 2007

Age Range: 2 yrs and up

Parking: plenty of parking in a designated parking lot off of Twin Streams Rd (on the South side of the park) and some street parking available on Baycliffe Drive (pay attention to some no parking zones)

Ground Cover: concrete

Main Equipment:
  • 1 wet sand area (sand with a water post)
  • 1 bucket dump
  • 1 spray arch
  • multiple spray posts and in ground features

Accessibility Features: wheelchair accessible main splash pad area (wet sand area has a curb to keep the sand in it)

Facilities/Surrounding Park Area/Other:
  • see Baycliffe Park (Rocketship Park) post
  • seasonal port-a-potty
  • Baycliffe FIT Park

Seating: 2 park benches, 2 picnic tables and multiple rock benches right at the splash pad, multiple picnic tables between the playground as well

Shade: no shade on the Splash Pad, some shade from the surrounding trees, and a small canopy providing shade to two park benches between the Splash Pad and playground

Overall assessment: A great spot to cool off and build sand castles!  Not too many splash pads have sand and a water post meant just for sand castles!  It's a great spot to spend the day and bring a picnic lunch to eat at one of the many picnic tables; or just spend an afternoon beating the summer heat.  There is a small post by the fence with a button that activates the splash pad area.  *NOTE per the town; no glass or pets in the area of the splash pad, and water shoes are recommended.
