Picture
Area: South Oshawa

Age Range: infant to 12 years

Parking:  plenty of parking just off of Lakeview Park Ave beside the park (and more further down by the soccer fields)

Ground Cover: gravely sand

Main Equipment:
  • 2 swings
  • 2 infant swings
  • 1 metal slide
  • 1 climbing curve
  • 1 rock climbing wall
  • 1 rope web

Accessibility Features: vehicle station, and talking tubes

Facilities/Other:
  • basketball court
  • softball field

Nearby Facilities: (see Lakeview Park waterfront)
  • picnic table area
  • concession stand (open daily from 11am)
  • Oshawa community museum (open daily from 11am to 4pm; small fees apply)
  • public washrooms
  • soccer fields
  • baseball fields
  • Splash pad

Surrounding Park Area: attached to the paved beautiful waterfront trail as well as plenty of fields and greenspace (note: for soccer and larger baseball fields you will have to cross the street)

Seating: 2 park benches

Shade: none on the playground itself, but plenty in the surrounding park area

Overall assessment: This is a great quiet park in the same area as Lakeview Park (waterfront) which means that it is just a short walk away from the public waterfront, washrooms, concession and other larger playground with small splash pad!  This park has a great field and its own parking lot away from the main Lakeview Park which makes it a bit off the beaten path for more room to play.
