Age Range: 2 to 12 years

Parking:  street parking on side streets Wilshire Dr which is closest to the playgrounds, some street parking available on the surrounding side streets

Ground Cover: sand

Main Equipment:
  • 2 swings
  • 2 infant swings
  • 6 slides
  • 3 rock climbing walls (2 large, 1 small)
  • 1 net climber
  • 1 slide climber
  • multiple climbing structures
  • multiple rockers
  • 1 play jeep

Accessibility Features: accessible play station (although in the main sand area of the playground)

Facilities/Other:
  • Splash Pad
  • 2 baseball diamonds
  • 1 basketball court
  • 2 soccer fields

Surrounding Park Area: many large fields and a path through most of the park area

Seating: 8 benches and many large rocks around the park to sit on

Shade: pavilion provides shade over 4 park benches, some shade from the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: A fun park for climbing for the big kids with a separate play structure for the smaller kids (although not as small as others!).  The adjacent Splash Pad is also sure to provide hours of entertainment at this park!

Seating: 7 park benches, a rock circle and many large rocks around the park to sit on

Shade: pergola provides shade over 3 park benches, some shade from the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: A fun park for climbing for the big kids and adventures with the animal sculptures for the small kids.  The adjacent Splash Pad is also sure to provide hours of entertainment at this park!

weekend; plenty of parking at Robert Munch Public School 

Ground Cover: sand

Main Equipment:

  • 3 rock climbing walls (2 large, 1 small)
  • 2 teeter rockers
  • 1 spinner
  • monkey bar loop

Accessibility Features: none

Facilities/Other:
  • Splash Pad
  • 1 basketball court

Surrounding Park Area: there is a trail through the park and a large green field right behind the playgrounds

Seating: 6 park benches

Shade: pergola provides shade over 2 park benches, some shade from the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: A great park for climbers as the large play structure has a lot of hanging and climbing apparatus!  The Splash Pad is in the middle between both play structures but with multiple benches surrounding them all.

Roswell Park

  • 1 baseball diamond

Surrounding Park Area: there is a paved path through the park and the surrounding green fields

Seating: 8 park benches

Shade: pavilion provides shade over 4 park benches, some shade from the surrounding trees

Overall assessment: This is a great park for all ages and very colorful.The smaller park has a few different ways to get on it to make it easier for all ages. Kids can have a great time playing store or house in the shade under the park while caregivers have a rest on the benches in shade cover as well. The bigger kids will love climbing up the rope tunnel and sliding down the super steep double slide.

Surrounding Park Area: large green space 

Seating: none

Shade: no shade

Overall assessment: A great green space for different activities, trail also connects to Alderwood Park (off of Wharf St.) if you walk behind the houses adjacent to the stream.
