Area: South Whitby

Parking: plenty of parking at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre lot off of Henry Street

Rides Allowed: skateboards, roller blades and bikes

Main Park Features:
  • flat ramp
  • transition ramp
  • flat banks
  • transition hip
  • bell hip
  • rails

Facilities/Other:

Surrounding Park Area: A paved walking path weaving through the Athletic fields to the West parking lot where you will find the Iroquois Park playground

Shade: no shade directly over the skatepark, some shade in the surrounding trees


Summary: A great cement skate park in Whitby that is home to not only grafitti, but a tree that has become the place where many broken skateboards are laid to rest. Park Rules: Come dressed with the proper safety equipment. Do not use the surface if wet or icy. This is an unsupervised skate park.

Rides Allowed: BMX, bikes, skateboards and rollerbladers 

Main Park Features:
  • slap-up bowl half pipe
  • euro gap
  • square back wall
  • big long ledges
  • retro ravine paving
  • Sinclair ledge
  • twin peaks
  • 9 stair rail

Facilities/Other:
  • washrooms (inside the McKinney Centre)
  • see McKinney Park post
  • Splash Pad

Shade: none

Surrounding Area: adjacent to the McKinney Centre where you will also find the McKinney Park playground and Splash Pad

Summary: A great fuller sized skatepark for beginners or smaller kids with a lot of different features to ride.  Park rules note no smoking or glass in the area.  Helmets, knee pads and elbow pads are recommended.  This is an unsupervised skatepark.
